The Long and Winding Road

The long and winding road that leads to your door, will never disappear. I've seen that road before, it always leads me here. Leads me to your door. -The Beatles

This is a diary of adventures. Having just graduated from college, my new husband and I are now taking on the grand challenge of moving to the East Coast. To Virginia. We are both life-long Arizonans, yet we are encouraged by our new state's slogan, "Virginia is for Lovers!"

Dusty is going to be attending law school in Lynchburg, so along with my mother and grandmother and their loving help and support, we sped off in our two cars packed full of all of our belongings. My husband and I somehow managed to tear ourselves away from home and family comforts, and off to never-never land. We have crossed the country in four long days, going from Arizona to Virginia. Through 9 states and many laughs, sighs, pit stops and memories, we have seen some gorgeous country! So bear with me, as I adjust to my writing styles and get the hang of how to share it all with you.

Our Route: Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia.

A few pleasant snapshots of our days on the road. Excluded in these detail photos are the mounds and mounds of sweet tea, coke, puff cheetos, and other munchies we quickly bought up at every gas station. First agenda upon arrival: find a gym.

The excitement is overwhelming, as we sit in the hotel, anxiously awaiting tomorrow, when we will be able to see our new home in daylight. Dad flew in this evening to join us in settling in -- our townhouse apartment is waiting for us to move-in, and all the shops in Lynchburg are calling to us, to bargain shop and furnish our new place with their treasures! Can't wait to show you all what we find!

In love, Cait
